Ode to Lehman Bros

Debt is like
an onion

you taste it
with delight.

But when lines go
you wonder,

Whatever made
you bite.

They tried to make me bail out Lehman, but I said 'no, no, no', They're not in the black and won't be coming back don't you know know know I ain't got the time and they're not worth a dime They tried to make be bail out Lehman but I said go go go

I'd rather be at home today
I ain't got seventy days
Cause there's nothing
There's nothing you can teach me
That I can't learn from Berkshire Hathaway

I didn't get a lot in class
But I know they're on their ass

The man said 'why do you think you here'
I said 'I got an idea:
I'm gonna, I'm gonna waste this baby
so I can inject some fear'
He said 'I just think your're depressed, After Bear - hang the rest'

They tried to make me bail out Lehman, but I said 'no, no, no', Yes they're on the rack and won't be coming back don't you know know know I ain't got the time and they're not worth a dime They tried to make be bail out Lehman but I said go go go

I don't ever wanna blink again
Let them find their own friend
I'm not gonna spend ten weeks
have everyone think they're on the mend

It's not just my style
It's just they're in denial

They tried to make me bail out Lehman, but I said 'no, no, no', They're not in the black and won't be coming back don't you know know know I ain't got the time and they're not worth a dime They tried to make be bail out Lehman but I said go go go

memo to wall steet:

Karma's a bitch!

I'm loving the crisis right now. I hope they all get toppled.

Lehman tree very pretty
and the Lehman flower is sweet
but the fruit of the poor Lehman
is impossible to eat

Well, the Wall Street executives who have setup and fanned this situation have already made hundreds of millions each, most of that safe in foreign nominee accounts. The Lehman bonus pool just for 2007 was TEN billions.

Those who have taken, keep it, those who have given, have to keep giving.

That's American karma: a few winners get massive rewards, a lot of losers get suitably punished.
